whoa man. I've been going back through my favorites list on newgrounds and I came back across you. and I gotta say I gotta gets me some new shaggy to listen too.

Wow, I was looking through my Reviews with Replies folder and saw you; I feel all nostalgic now.

By the way, that was one of the better intros to an ambiance song that I have heard on new grounds, especially with the longer 'fade-in.' Usually people fall into the trap of having a two through eight second long intro or a obnoxiously long minute and a half of white sound.

Qelaion responds:

ehehe I feel you; I really missed this place and its somewhat tight community, but I moved on to Soundcloud and stopped uploading here mostly due to the tedious uploading system and the lack of interaction with listeners. Thanks for sticking around, and thanks for the compliments <3

Wow, this is a vary well made song. I can tell some of the sounds you used could have been better made, but the way you blended them all together in such a way that I could ignore it vary easily. That made me enjoy this song vary much!

combatplayer responds:

thanks a lot!
the worst samples in the bunch are probably the cello ones and some of the percussion samples, where as the best would be the piano in the background. really need to get me a better sample library lol. FL doesn't come with much for non-techno music.

Good god, first time I heard this I was absolutely blown away at how amazing yet simple this remix is!

It's actually really hard to call this dubstep. Mostly because the drop was just so soft.

If anything I think this might belong more in the house(not really familiar with the genre though) or 8bit genres.

either way great song. though the big problems were #1, that is was way too slow and that made it feel like a pop song. the second problem was that as I said earlier that the drops were way to soft to really give it that dubsteppish sound.

I would give you more stars on this song, but, well, let me explain.

Problem number one: 1:25 to 2:06 was way to out of place, this is due to whatever sound effect you had that sort of jumped was absolutely over powering the entire section of the song, so much that I was about to just stop the song before I remembered that I loved the intro. (can't remember the name of the soundtrack) And it took me at least the entire time writing this review to get used to it.

Now I know you got some good reviews on this song, but that is from newgrounds dubstep regulars, and they are used to really heavy dubstep with almost no flow or rhythm. (sorry for the harsh review though, I really am a fan of your music)

the second problem was kind of trivial to most people, but to me, this song was a bit over cinematic for a standalone song if you know what I mean. does not matter really tho.

TIMarbury responds:

appreciate the honest review, i agree with most of it, it sounded empty so i threw in something and that's the best i could come up with. lmao

This is a good sign that the dubstep genre on newgrounds is coming back from the 'no flow, nothing but drops' craze it has had in the last year. At least in my experience that is all I have mostly found on newgrounds for dubstep. So to the real review.

Great job, this is actually a really good sounding song. Only trouble I heard was that there was a sort of jump between parts like 2:56-3:01 that made it sound a bit like the song skipped a note or something. A bit repetitive here and there.

Also, that sample you snuck in at 4:37 was pretty nice, so good job!

TIMarbury responds:

thanks dude! gonna re-listen to the 2:56-3:01 part. might be a mistake on the mix percent of my glitch stuff

this is some really good stuff, though I need to subtract half a star, that would be because at some moments this really gets cluttered and it becomes hard to hear the song itself. aside from that though the rest of it was clear and crisp, and awesome.

Anyway what program did you use to get such a nice result.

should have put it in miscellaneous then?

any way awesome job on the song, altho the intro was way to long

Or4nges responds:

Well it's got the bass, and the beat, so I figured it'd work best here. Also you have to be patient with this song. If I rushed the intro it wouldn't have had the same impact at the drop.

pretty good.

I think the hip hoppish element was a good sound to add, but after the intro it became really repetitive for me.

I was also expecting the song to speed up at a lot of the points during the song, but I am guessing that is just me making assumptions based on the Newgrounds mainstream for the House genre

this was a pretty unique type of house song, or I just never listen to this sub-genre of house. Anyway good job, it sounded pretty good!!!

Also ... I am going to make a suggestion, and that is that I think this song needs more cowbell!!! lol. No seriously that might sound pretty good if you put it in at the right spots.

Qelaion responds:

Yeah I have to agree, I didn't put too much variation in the drum patterns because I got really lazy :P

And hmm... Maybe cowbell WOULD sound cool in some parts of this song... I'll think about it if I ever do a remake! :D

Thanks!
